There's this tune I've found that makes me think of you somehow

On Thursday I felt like a kid in a sweet shop (actually scrap that... I'm usually more excited in a sweet shop than any child could ever be) after getting two films worth of photos developed in Boots. My fish eye camera has been on some great little adventures in the last few months- Liverpool, Latitude, Leeds (apparently I only like places beginning with an L) to name just a few. My little pink lomography camera even got turned into a birthday cake a few months back as you may have already seen back here

Anyway, here's a few snaps from the huge pile I'm currently sat around trying to shortlist for my new photo frame. As soon as I'd ripped open the envelopes after picking up my prints I raced straight to Wilko's to buy the biggest frame possible to display all of my snaps in (laughing all the way there at some of the more drunken photos amongst the lot- I decided to save you the trauma of having to see those!).

If you enjoy playing around with lomography cameras then link me up- I love being nosy at other people's snaps!

If you say the word then I'll say goodbye

You might remember I mentioned in a post a while ago that I accidentally bought a lomography fish eye camera back in the January sales. The pictures from my first film weren't all fantastic, the only film I had at home was a redscale film which is better suited to the great outdoors when you're not playing with an SLR that you can change the settings on. The first two pictures were by far the best, due to the fact that it was a crazily bright snowy day. But still, they're not a bad little bunch. I like the red, grainy effect and the fact that there's a definite charm to these less than perfect snaps. It definitely makes a nice change from taking 'proper' photos. I've bought some different film this time which should be better as an all rounder to play with on nights out aswell as in the daytime so now I'm desperate to whizz through the film so I can see what they turn out like too.

If you've got a fish eye or another lomography camera and have posted your pictures then send me the links, I like being nosy!

(Oh, and next time I might consider getting my film copied onto a cd when I get it developed... taking vaguely decent pictures of the photos proved pretty flipping difficult!)

Falling through high places

Yesterday was one of the most fun-filled Saturdays there ever was. I went to Xscape near Leeds with two of my friends for some jolly snow time where we joined a load of small children on the slopes for a spot of sledging. We decided it was definitely an activity better suited to us 22 year olds than the kids though because we had a quite significant weight advantage helping us along (I knew indulging over Christmas would come in handy sometime!) and unlike most of the people around us we managed not to cry every time we fell off our sledges! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon eating burgers, nachos, doughnuts and lemon drizzle cake. It appears that sledging makes you work up quite an appetite (any excuse). I also took a trip to Urban Outfitters, again on a quest for some cheap jewellery, and somehow this time came home with this new camera. I'm a ridiculous human being.

Then to celebrate the end of the first Saturday of 2013 (here's hoping all Saturdays to follow are equally brilliant!) we cracked open the rum and headed out for the night. The perfect opportunity to give my new dress its first outing. It has a panther on it don'tcha know.
